Filmmaker Laci Dent on Searching for the Truth in Genre Stories

The L.A.-based writer-director discusses recent and upcoming projects

Laci Dent is an award-winning director, screenwriter and production designer hailing from New Orleans and now based in Los Angeles. Laci is a storyteller who builds atmospheric worlds through her passion for genre fare and dark, probing dramas.

Laci's work explores the ins and outs of coming to find oneself. It carries an evolved tone of the familiar coming-of-age narrative. Her work contains aesthetics that are approachable by examining the inner truths of her subjects.

In this latest edition of our interview series Long Story Short, Laci talks to us about creative genres, finding your people and searching for your truth.
